Introduction

Different users have access to different functions of the site. While anyone can do most things on the site, including reading and editing, administrators can access a few additional functions:

  • Deleting and undeleting pages, page histories, and uploaded files.
  • Locking (protecting) a page so it cannot be edited or renamed by users without admin rights.
  • Blocking IP addresses or user names from editing; and very quick "rollback" of undesirable edits.
  • Editing the interface by changing system messages and skins.

A bureaucrat can make other users into bureaucrats or administrators on their own wiki. He or she is also able to remove admin access from any user.

Some Wikia staff members have full access to all Wikia. They will be shown in Special:Listusers/staff on any wiki. Wikia janitors have limited administrator access to all Wikia for cleanup purposes. These users will be shown on Special:Listusers/janitor on any Wikia. Please see the Central Wikia contact page for details on how to contact Wikia staff.

Who are this wiki's administrators?

In keeping up with the theme of Reborn, our admins are each assigned a Dying Will Flame. At the Reborn Wiki, we currently have two generations of Sky Admins and a first generation of Earth Admins.
These two generations are:

First Generation Sky Admins

1st Guardians

The first generation Sky Admins are the admins that started off the wiki and set up a foundation for others to build on. Unfortunately, these admins are currently inactive.
A list of the first generation Sky Admins can be seen below:

Oath Admin

The Oath Admin is our current head admin and the overall leader of the Sky and Earth Admins.

Second Generation Sky Admins

Tsuna And The Guardians

The Second Generation Sky Admins are the highly active admins who can help you out at any given time. These admins helped take the wiki to where it is now, and are responsible for most of what you see before you. Of course we had help from you, our editors, so we thank you for that.
If you have any questions, it's more likely you'll get an answer ASAP as opposed to asking the first generation admins.

How do I use administrator powers?

See the administrators' how-to guide for a guide on using admin functions.

Becoming an administrator

Visit "Reborn Wiki:Requests for adminship."
Your contributions will be reviewed, and if the wiki needs it, you'll be made an admin. Please remember, however, that not everyone can become an admin. Balance in a wiki is extremely important, and keeping that balance is the top priority. However, each request will be reviewed and an answer given.

What can administrators not do?

Administrators should not use their administrator powers to settle editing disputes; for example, to lock a page on a version he or she prefers in an editing dispute that isn't vandalism. Administrator powers should be use to help keep the wiki clear of vandalism, spam, and users who make malicious edits, but not for simple disagreements between users acting in good faith. Ideally an admin shouldn't be considered "in charge." The ideal admin is just someone who is trusted to have a few extra buttons and to use them for the benefit of the Wikia community.
